Here is some solutions can solve water pollution

Provide Beach Water Quality Report In Hong Kong
A Water Quality Objective (WQO) for bathing beaches has been set under the Water Pollution Control Ordinance (WPCO). The WQO states that the level of E. coli should not exceed 180 per 100mL, calculated as the geometric mean for all samples collected from March to October inclusive. Samples have to be taken at least 3 times a month at intervals of between 3 and 14 days. This WQO applies to all bathing beaches in Hong Kong waters.

Marine Water Quality Monitoring
EPD's marine monitoring programme covers about 90 water and 60 sediment sampling stations in the open sea, semi-enclosed bays and typhoon shelters.

Marine monitoring is carried out on board a scientific vessel, the Dr. Catherine Lam, which is equipped with a satellite-aided differential global positioning system (DGPS) for accurate location of sampling stations at sea.

A range of physical and chemical parameters, including temperature, pH, salinity, turbidity and dissolved oxygen, are measured in situ by a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) profiler and the data are relayed to a computer. In addition, water and sediment samples are collected and sent to the laboratories for the analysis of some 40 parameters such as nutrients, metals, organics and coliform bacteria. Water quality monitoring is generally conducted once a month whereas sediment quality monitoring is done twice a year.

River Water Quality Monitoring
EPD regularly monitors water quality at more than 80 sampling stations in over 30 rivers and streams in the territory. In situ field measurements are performed and water samples are collected for further laboratory analyses mostly on a monthly basis. The monitoring covers more than 40 parameters including physico-chemical characteristics, organics, nutrients, toxic metals and coliform bacteria. The rates of annual compliance with the statutory WQOs are assessed based on the data obtained during the year.

Sewage Strategy
There are four main components of our sewage strategy, they are:

1. control of sources;

2. wastewater collection;

3. appropriate treatment and disposal;

4. monitoring and performance verification

Control of Sources

The objective is to control the quality and location of various types of discharges, including those from restaurants, factories and farms. The controls, which are effected under the Water Pollution Control Ordinance (WPCO), the Waste Disposal Ordinance (WDO).

Wastewater collection

A proper wastewater collection system are provided by Environment Protection Department to ensure that the wastewater can be transferred to suitable treatment works.

Monitoring and Performance Verification

Monitoring of the quality of Hong Kong's rivers and coastal waters is an important part of the overall pollution control strategy.
1) It provides information on the environmental health of inland and marine waters;
2) reveals long-term changes in water quality;
3) allows assessment of compliance with WQOs;
4) provides feedback for potential refinement of water pollution control strategies.
Environment Protection Department runs routine monitoring encompasses the following activities:

1) All of Hong Kong's gazetted beaches are routinely monitored (Figure 21) through samples taken from over 100 sampling stations and a ranking is publicised for each beach during the bathing season;
2) over 80 sampling stations provide data on the state of inland waters;
3) over 90 sampling stations are used to provide data on marine waters and sediments.
